Division 2 Boys Herald Sun Shield wraps up for 2024
The 2024 Herald Sun Shield Division 2 Boys competitions have concluded for another year, with a thrilling repeat of last year's Grand Final in the Intermediate Boys, and some fresh faces taking home the Shield in the Senior Boys.
The Division 2 games were played round robin style at Casey Fields over two separate days, with the following schools competing throughout the morning before the top two teams in each age category progressed to the Grand Finals.

Intermediate Boys Grand Final
In a repeat of last year's Intermediate Boys Grand Final, St Ignatius College Geelong once again took on Salesian College Sunbury, in a quest to knock off last year's Premiers.
Once again, Salesian proved too strong for their opponents, defeating St Ignatius by 29 points to win back the 2024 Herald Sun Shield Division 2 Inter Boys title.
Liam Joyce displayed his top knotch skill throughout the day, including three goals in the Grand Final to be awarded the best on ground medal.

Senior Boys Grand Final
After a busy morning of games, the winners of Pool A and Pool B faced off in the Senior Boys Grand Final. The St Ignatius Senior Boys team comfortably defeated Newhaven College by 58 points in the Grand Final to take out the 2024 Herald Sun Shield Senior Boys title, after going close in the Intermediate Division 2 compeition back in 2022.
Daniel Lowther was dominant all day, being awarded the best on ground medal for his performance in the Grand Final.
