Former Cats champion Billy Brownless, Swans’ Team of the Century member Tony Morwood and ex-Geelong player Dwayne Russell will be among the special guests appearing on Ford’s Oval TV filming at Sterling Ford on Monday, August 18.
Local Bundoora AFL fans will relish the chance to meet some of footy’s sports personalities when the Ford dealership plays host to the Oval TV line up.
Oval TV consists of four panel style programs providing an entertaining look at the Geelong Cats, Sydney Swans, the VFL and the TAC Cup. Normally filmed on location at Ford Australia, the Oval goes on the road, visiting local dealerships across Melbourne during the 2008 footy season.
Ford Australia Sponsorship Manager, Nick Cummins highlighted the benefit of bringing Oval TV into the community.
“Taking Oval TV into the community via Ford dealership broadcasts provides a rare opportunity for local footy fans to meet the sports personalities and some of their local VFL/TAC Cup stars,” Mr Cummins said.
“Sterling Ford has a strong presence within the community and this is a chance for Bundoora residents to be part of an exciting event.”
Additional special guests joining the line up include Northern Knights Vice Captain, Michael Hurley and Son of Greg ‘Diesel’ Williams and Northern Bullant, Jake Williams.
The Oval TV concept is an extension of Ford’s football sponsorships and an example of its continued commitment to assist grass roots football and its supporters.
Filming will commence at 9.30am at Sterling Ford in Bundoora (475 Grimshaw St, Bundoora). Ford invites members of the public to come down and watch the event.
