The NAB League’s Best & Fairest night recognising the best players in the NAB League and NAB League Girls Competition in 2019 was held on Sunday.
Congratulations to Western Jets defender Lucas Rocci who claimed the club’s first-ever Morrish Medal for the NAB League’s best and fairest player, and to Calder Cannons 16-year-old Georgie Prespakis, who won the 2019 NAB League Girls Best & Fairest on Sunday night.
Rocci, an Aberfeldie (Essendon District FL) junior, averaged 17 disposals, four marks and five rebound-50s per game across 13 home-and-away matches, polling a total of 17 votes.
Prespakis has kept the family name on the NAB League Girls Best & Fairest award, walking away with the 2019 title after polling 20 votes, one year after her elder sister Madison achieved the same feat. The 165cm Sunbury Lions (Essendon District FL) junior averaged a competition-high 24 disposals per game and booted 12 goals across eight of Calder’s nine NAB League Girls home-and-away matches earlier this year.
