The Reservoir Football Club (RFC) commenced in 1923, competing in the Bourke-Evelyn, Diamond Valley (DV), Metropolitan, and Panton Hill Football Leagues before returning to the DV Football League.
For many years the RFC has been a competitive and valued member of the DV (now Northern Football League – NFL) competition.
Following a shortage of players in season 2007, the RFC is working hard to resume fielding senior and reserve grade teams in 2008. An extra special meeting was held on Sunday 24th June where a new committee for the remainder of 2007 and season 2008 was formed. All executive positions were filled including a strong general committee.
The various past players are now located at many clubs and competitions. The committee trust that the loyal players, staff & supporters will return and commit for a major rebirth in 2008 season.
The next step is to appoint senior coaches for 2008 season. The club will vigorously pursue several higher profile football people. This will include people whose football careers originated in the Reservoir area. The plan is to announce a senior coaching panel in September. This will allow a full pre season training schedule to commence soon after. As per the Reservoir Football Club constitution, applications are invited for the positions of Senior, Reserves, and Under 19’s coaches for 2008. Applications can be addressed to: The RFC Secretary, P.O.Box 750, Reservoir, VIC 3073.
