Players are encouraged to attend a series of 'Come and Try' AFL Blind football events—to be held at Tullamarine Indoor Sports Centre—ahead of the return of 2022 Energy Safe Victorian Blind Football League (ESV VBFL) in May.

The ESV VBFL provides an environment that promotes fitness, fun, friendship and a sense of belonging, enhancing life skills, developing self-esteem, confidence and improved health. The league features 4 teams, with a nine-round competitions and finals, with Hawthorn Football Club and St Kilda Football Club on board. The league has grown from 16 participants in the 2018 inaugural season to 38 participants in 2021.
