Saints offer first AFLW-aligned all-girls Auskick Centre

The South Metropolitan Junior Football League has partnered with St Kilda's AFLW team to offer the first of its kind AFLW-aligned all-girls Auskick Centre before four of St Kilda's AFLW home games for the 2024 season.

The Auskick sessions will run at St Kilda's home ground of RSEA Park, two hours prior to the AFLW game kicking off, with the girls given the opportunity to see their AFLW heroes up close and further highlight the pathways available for girls to play footy with other girls, from Auskick through to the elite game.

The first session kicked off on Saturday 7 September, with the Auskick session beginning at 1:15pm before the AFLW game at 3:05pm that afternoon, with around 20 Auskick girls in attendance.

The next SMJFL x St Kilda AFLW All Girls Auskick session will be on Saturday 21 September at 12:15pm, before St Kilda's AFLW team takes on Hawthorn at RSEA Park for their Week 4 clash. For their second session, the girls will get double the time out on the ground, with their Auskick session before the game AND the chance to play a full Auskick match during the AFLW half-time break.

All registrations will receive a double pass for parents to attend the AFLW match, with kids under 18 FREE!
