Carlton AFLW player Maddy Prespakis, AFL Head of women's football Nicole Livingstone and Melbourne AFLW player Tayla Harris launch the Google Footy Skills Lab

With all football matches, training and Auskick not going ahead this weekend because of the Victorian Government's five-day lockdown, it's a great opportunity for people to give the new ‘Footy Skills Lab’ app a go.

Google and the AFL recently launched the artificial intelligence-powered app, which is a free platform accessible from any smartphone with internet connection, a footy and some space to move.

The launch of the platform came as Google and the AFL teamed up to recognise that every Australian, no matter ability, gender, location, culture or socio-economic status should have access to sport and community participation.
