North Warrnambool Football and Netball Club have nominated Rebecca McKinnon for the WorkSafe Country Volunteer of the Year Award.

Rebecca and her family have been involved in the club for many years and have provided significant volunteer support. Rebecca's father, Frank Wines, is a life member of the club, whilst her husband, Mick, has previously coached the team to a premiership. Rebecca and Mick's four children, Jake, Sam, Joe and Charlie, have all represented the club.

North Warrnambool member, Michael Lynch, said that the support of Rebecca, and the McKinnon and Wines families, has been vital to the success of the club.

"The family commitment to the club is unbelievable."

"Bec has been a lifelong volunteer at the club and is a tireless worker who would do anything to help."

Rebecca undertakes a variety of roles throughout the week and across gameday to assist the club.

She coordinates and runs the kitchen, supplying meals to the players and supporters on Thursday nights and at functions and often runs the canteen on Sundays. She also helps to coordinate the club's merchandise sales.

Congratulations on your nomination, Rebecca.
