Draft prospects to take on Combines
This year’s top Draft prospects will take part in the 2024 Telstra AFL Draft Combine and 2024 Telstra AFLW Draft Combine in Melbourne from Friday.
The national Draft Combine events will take place in Melbourne across three days and will showcase a host of the most talented Draft-eligible footballers ahead of this year’s Telstra AFL Draft in November and Telstra AFLW Draft in December.
A total of 67 boys and 47 girls footballers from across Australia will take part, with the boys Draft Combine to also include Irish duo Davy Colbert and Eoin McEvoy.
39 boys and 24 girls invited to their respective National Draft Combines played their junior footy in Victoria.
All players attending the national Draft Combines will engage in club interviews and medical screenings at the MCG throughout Friday and Saturday.
They will complete a 2km time trial at the AIA Centre on Friday afternoon before the remaining physical testing is conducted at Melbourne Sports and Aquatic Centre (MSAC) on Sunday morning.
Among the tests that will be performed on Sunday are the vertical jump, running vertical jump, 20m sprint, and agility test. All testing will be facilitated by AFL testing partner Rookie Me.

TELSTRA AFL STATE DRAFT COMBINES AND TELSTRA AFLW STATE DRAFT COMBINES
The 2024 Telstra AFL State Draft Combines and 2024 Telstra AFLW Draft Combines will be held over the next fortnight with events to be held in Victoria, South Australia and Western Australia.
The state Draft Combine events will feature players who were not nominated for the national Draft Combine.
64 boys players and 41 girls will feature across the three state Draft Combines, including 24 boys and 19 girls from Victoria.
Players invited to the Telstra AFL State Draft Combines and Telstra AFLW State Draft Combines will take part in physical testing which will include the vertical jump, running vertical jump, 20-metre sprint, agility test and 2km time trial.
Rookie Me will also conduct testing for all state Draft Combine events.

MELBOURNE
Date: Sunday, October 6
Venue: Melbourne Sports and Aquatic Centre (MSAC), followed by Lakeside Stadium for 2km time trial
Time: (Boys) Testing from 11:40am; 2km time trial from 2:00pm
Time: (Girls) Testing from 1:40pm; 2km time trial from 3:20pm
Featuring players from ACT, New South Wales, Northern Territory, Queensland, Tasmania and Victoria
ADELAIDE
Date: Saturday, October 12
Time: Testing from 9:00am; 2km time trial from 11:30am
Venue: Nazareth College Flinders Park, followed by SA Athletics Stadium for 2km time trial
PERTH
Date: Sunday, October 13
Time: Testing from 10:00am; 2km time trial from 1:00pm
Venue: Gold Netball Centre, followed by WA Athletics Stadium for 2km time trial
