Former Keilor Football Club and Essendon District Football League star, Montana Ham, was selected by Sydney with the first pick after nominating for the New South Wales draft pool, not her native Victoria.

Fellow Victorian and former Ashburton Redbacks junior, Jas Fleming, was selected by Hawthorn with pick No.2 and was joined at the Hawks by other top Victorian talents Mackenzie Eardley (Beleura JFC), Charlotte Baskaran (Aberfeldie Sports Club) and Bridie Hipwell (East Sandringham JFC) with picks No.6, 9 and 10. Essendon snapped up Amber Clarke (Narre North Foxes) and Paige Scott (Carisbrook Football Club) with picks No.4 and 8 respectively, whilst Ham will be joined at Sydney by Sofia Hurley who was selected by the Swans with pick No.5 after also electing to nominate for the NSW draft pool.
