Multicultural Schools Cups


Next-Generation Academy (NGA) Schools Cups are held by AFL Clubs across different regions of Victoria. These Cups are for Grades 5 and 6 students. Following the cup students may be selected to enter an AFL NGA or another AFL Victoria run program.

The Jewish Schools Cup is an annual event hosted by the St Kilda Football Club, supported by AFL Victoria.

Seven Jewish Schools from across the state competed in the event in 2017 with six female and six male teams competing in total. All students received a free take home football, a tour of the St Kilda Linen House Facility and more opportunities to get involved in football.

The Jewish Schools Cup is scheduled for August 16 for 2018 again hosted at Linen House Centre.

The Multicultural Secondary Schools Cup gives the opportunity to students who aren’t traditionally a part of their school football team to play in an inter-schools AFL Cup. Hosted by AFL Victoria in 2017 the event had 10 schools and more than 165 grades 5 and 6 students involved from across Victoria.

Students playing on the day will get the opportunity to transition into more AFL Victoria programs as well as AFL Club programs.

Bachar Houli schools Cup bring together over 5000 Islamic students from Islamic schools across Victoria.

The Cup provides an encouraging and educational introduction to Australian Rules football in a safe and welcoming environment for Islamic students.

The cup focuses on being participants being active, working as a team and assisting players understand the opportunities to transition into mainstream football pathways.
