Monash Blues Football Club are seeking Sports Trainers for the 2020 season.
Representing Monash University, the Monash Blues Football Club competes in the largest football league in Australia, the Victorian Amateur Football Association (VAFA).
The Club’s home is the Frearson Oval (named after the famous Professor Keith Frearson) which is located at the Clayton Campus of Monash University, Wellington Road, Clayton.
We, at present, have seven teams including two women’s teams and require the services of several trainers for the 2020 season.
The successful applicants will be offered a competitive remuneration, which will be discussed upon application. Not only will you have the opportunity to be part our “Monash Family” but also be part of one of the great university football teams.
Along with hydration, taping and sports massage when required trainers will be required to:
- Provide support for all players during training and on match days
• Ensuring the performance of all players is given the best chance through appropriate treatment
• Report to the coaches any player injury and keep them updated on the status of injured players
• Along with the Club Physio, assist with the design and implementation of rehabilitation programs/injury prevention strategies with players in who are in rehab.
Hours would be approximately 4-5 hours over a weekend (usually Saturday). There will be the possibility of extra hours Monday, Tuesday & Thursday training nights.
You will have your Level 1 First Aid Certificate or higher, Working with Children Certificate and your own transport. Sports Medicine Level one certificate or better would be beneficial but not essential.
Previous experience working within a team sport environment with an interest in Australian Football would be very beneficial but certainly not compulsory.
