Melbourne High Seeks Sports Trainers

Melbourne High School Old Boys Football Club are on the lookout for Sports Trainers for the 2020 season.

We are currently in Division 2 of the VAFA.  Our club has 4 teams consisting of U/19s, Thirds, Reserves and Seniors.

So, if you are keen to get involved and want to EARN AS YOU LEARN then don’t hesitate to contact us now.  The roles require you to attend Training on a rostered basis on Tuesday and Thursday Nights from 5:45pm until approx. 8pm, and then to be available Saturday for Game Days between 8am and 5pm.

Being a Sports Trainer is perfect for anyone in Health Science, Physio, Osteo & Myotherapy Students who would like to gain experience whilst in a sporting environment.

Remuneration will be based on experience.   Our trainers will also have access to several Physios and their practice via our Sponsors Evolutio Physiotherapy, who also help run additional nights of training for those interested in learning further.

Trainers responsibilities include

  • Pre-match preparation; taping, massage, organising water bottles/kits,
  • Running water
  • Injury management
  • First Aid

Role Requirements:

  • Level 1 sports trainer (or willing to obtain this)
  • First Aid and CPR certificate
  • Flexible availability
