Victorian Government Industry Restart Guidelines for Community Sport requires the development of a COVIDSafe plan for all venues, facilities, and clubs, using the following six principles:

  • Ensure Physical distancing
  • Wear a mask
  • Practice good hygiene
  • Keep records and act quickly if staff become unwell
  • Avoid interactions in enclosed spaces
  • Create workforce bubbles

How to use the provided COVIDSafe Plan template:

  1. Insert your club/league name where you see the placeholder.
  2. Review the pre-populated information, ensure this is accurate for your club and update where necessary.
  3. Make sure the committee, coaches, officials and players are fully aware of the plan. Promote it widely to members, parents, local council, sponsors via your website, social media, newsletter, on-line meetings.
  4. Stay updated on the latest advice and any changes via AFL Victoria, DHHS, Sport and Recreation Victoria and your local council. Changes announced from the State Government will supersede any earlier contrary information provided in this document. Where significant changes are made, an updated editable version will be released.
