Key Grant Bodies

 

Sport and Recreation Victoria
The Victorian State government provides a range of grants and funding to support sport and recreation in Victoria from local community clubs through to the elite level.

 

Our Community Grants
Our community lists an array of Federal and State Government, philanthropic and corporate funding opportunities at this site.

 

VicHealth
A pioneer in health promotion, VicHealth work to discover, implement and share solutions to the health problems facing Victorians. Funding grants become active at various times throughout the year with general and specific eligibility criteria.

 

Australian Sports Commission
The ASC supports a wide range of programs designed to develop sporting excellence and increase participation in sports activities by all Australians.

 

Key Existing Grants

TAC Community Grants Program 

AFL Victoria is working with TAC for the introduction of the Towards Zero Club Grants Program which encourages active participation in the journey Towards Zero on our roads.

 

Energy Safe Victoria Canteen Grant

The Energy Safe Victoria (ESV) Canteen Grant program supports clubs to be more energy safe in their operations and increase awareness of energy safety issues at the community level.

 

WorkSafe Club Safety Fund 

The WorkSafe Club Safety Fund has been established to provide financial assistance to football/netball clubs to improve the safety of their grounds, providing added safety for players, spectators and those involved with the club.

 

Community Sports Infrastructure Fund

The Community Sports Infrastructure Fund provides grants for planning, building new, and improving existing facilities where communities conduct, organise and participate in sport and recreation.

 

Country Football and Netball Program

The Country Football and Netball Program provides funding to assist country football and netball clubs, associations and umpiring organisations to develop facilities in rural, regional and outer metropolitan locations.

 

Defibrillators For Local Sports Clubs

The Defibrillators for Sporting Clubs and Facilities Program will provide Victorian sport and active recreation organisations with the opportunity to acquire an automated external defibrillator for their club or sports facility. The 2015-16 Victorian Budget provided $2.7 million to deliver the life-saving devices.

 

Sports Incentive Program

Applicants can register projects to collect donations using the Australian Sports Foundation (ASF) tax deductible status and receive consideration for discretionary grants from the ASF.

 

AFL Victoria Facilities Development Reserve

This funding used to support projects, primarily in Metropolitan Melbourne, that are not eligible for Country Football Netball Program Funding and have strong alignment with AFL Victoria’s Football Facilities Development Strategy.  Further information, guidelines and application forms can be requested on this fund via aflvicreception@aflvic.com.au
