Ken Piesse's Country – New Boys on the Block

Ray Patterson says he.s like an expectant father counting down to the big day. His brand new football and netball club, Strathfieldsaye play its first games ever on Easter Saturday in the Bendigo Football League.

VCFL Tipping Comp – Round 2 Winner

Round 2 of the VCFL AFL Tipping Competition has been run and won by Colin Seiler. Colin is playing in the Heathcote FL division of the VCFL Tipping Competition.
Only 3 of over 1,000 players got the top marks for Round 2 of the 2009 season.

.Off The Bench. Launches on WIN TV Network – 9th April

Country footy fans are set for an Australian first when a new television program wholly dedicated to regional football screens across the WIN TV network just in time for the start of the 2009 season.
Off the Bench will be screened at 11:15pm, after The Footy Show on WIN TV every Thursday night from 9 April until 17 September, 2009.

Bushfire Appeal Match

Sunday 29th March – Jubilee Park, Ringwood
The proceeds of the game are kindly being donated to the VCFL Bushfire Appeal to assist those clubs affected by the bushfires.

VCFL Tipping Comp – Round 1 Winner

Round 1 of the VCFL AFL Tipping Competition has been run and won by Beverly Phillips of Jeparit. Beverly is playing in the Wimmera division of the VCFL Tipping Competition.
Only 7 of nearly 1,000 players got the top marks for Round One in the 2009 season.

Victoria University is conducting two studies; Exploring the Experiences of Rehabilitation from Sport-Related Injuries, and Exploring the Experiences of Athletes Returning to Training and Competition from Sport Related Injuries.

AFL Umpire Road Shows to promote a great way to be involved in football

From Monday 16th March until Thursday 19th March, AFL field umpires Jacob Mollison and Heath Ryan, goal umpire Michael Hammond and boundary umpire Adam Coote will travel across much of the South West and North East of Victoria as part of the annual AFL Umpires Road Show.
