AFL Victoria is reaching out for expression of interest for this year’s Jim Stynes and Laguntas Programs and would love to have you involved!
Supported by the AFL, the Korin Gomandji Institute (KGI) and AFL SportsReady, the aim of the Laguntas Program is to further develop the pathway to the AFL competition for Indigenous players, as well as providing training and education to support the off field development of young up and coming Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islanders.
Similarly, the Jim Stynes Program provides Multicultural boys between the age of 16 and 19 the opportunity to further their development on and off the field and enter AFL Victoria’s talent pathway including the TAC Cup competition.
The first 2018 pre-season camp for the Jim Stynes and Laguntas Programs will be held on March 16th-18th at YMCA Queenscliff.
To register your interest for a place in either program, please RSVP to Chris Johnson via email to email@example.com or phone (03) 9791 8656 before the Monday 15th of January.
Please note also that you are required to attend the program in full. The only exemptions for consideration will be for schooling and or work commitments.
Eligible participants must be turning 16, 17 or 18 years old in 2018 and of indigenous heritage (Laguntas Program) or must have one parent born overseas (Jim Stynes Program).
