Are you a qualified coach of Australian Rules Football (AFL) and have the ability and desire to work in a competition that is the pathway for nearly 1 in 4 players in the AFL National Draftees?
Is Australian Football (AFL) your passion and are you motivated to broaden your coaching experience, work with highly qualified leaders and contribute to the development of potential elite players?
Wesley College Melbourne is seeking expressions of interest from AFL Coaches looking to work in the Associated Public Schools (APS) competition. A variety of coaching positions are available for groups Year 7 – First XVIII Boys Football for the 2018 winter sports season.
Wesley College Melbourne, a Uniting Church school with a rich tradition spanning 150 years, is a diverse, dynamic, coeducational learning community with more than 3,100 students aged between 3 and 18 years across 3 main campuses.
Ideally you will have 1-2 year’s AFL coaching experience. It is a requirement to understand the sport and be willing to work with the Head Coach to develop skills of the students and work on strategy for games. Coaches are also expected to work with the students to ensure that a sense of fair play during competition is maintained.
All employees of Wesley College are required to obtain a current:
- Employment Working With Children Check;
- National Police Name Check;
In addition to the above compliance checks, all casual staff are required to complete the College Sports online training module containing relevant Wesley College policies and procedures.
