 AFL Victoria WorkSafe Community Championships

Saturday 13 May, 2017 is the date when Victoria’s best country footballers will represent their Leagues in the 2017 AFL Victoria WorkSafe Community Championships.

This allows us to showcase Victoria’s best community umpires to officiate in these games.

More details will follow.

Scheduled for Saturday 21 May, 2016 are the 2016  AFL Victoria WorkSafe Community Championships that will see 38 AFL Victoria Football Leagues compete across Victoria for the right to climb the rankings ladder.

2016 sees the inclusion of several Melbourne metropolitan Football Leagues along with their umpires making these annual Championships a whole-State program.

Umpires from the V/Line Umpire Academy program together with several Melbourne metropolitan umpires have been  appointed to officiate the 18 senior and 15 under-age matches played across the State, giving them the chance to umpire at a higher level and test their skills alongside the best community footballers in Victoria.

Their appointment recognises their strong performance  and consistency at community level.
