Six of Victoria’s best regional and suburban venues will play host to some of the AFL’s biggest stars next year, following the release of the 2018 JLT Community Series fixture on Thursday.
Held from February 24 to March 11, the 2018 JLT Community Series will see all 18 teams play two matches across a three-week stretch ahead of the 2018 Toyota AFL Premiership Season.
Five venues from country Victoria, including four VFL and TAC Cup grounds have been selected to host pre-season matches, including Mars Stadium (Ballarat), Norm Minns Oval (Wangaratta) and Casey Fields (Cranbourne) along with community venues Ted Summerton Reserve (Moe) and Central Reserve (Colac).
Iconic metropolitan venue IKON Park (Carlton) has also been selected to the 2018 JLT Community Series, scheduled to host two games on February 28 and Thursday March 8.
The AFL also confirmed that all 18 matches would again be exclusively broadcast on television live by Fox Footy and, in addition, every match will also be made available live to fans via the AFL Live App thanks to Telstra.
