CFNP supporting community projects

AFL Victoria would like to congratulate a number of community football regions that have secured additional funding for their respective facility projects, through the support of the Country Football Netball Program.

Our sport is very proud to be a funding partner in the Country Football Netball Program (CFNP) along with the Victorian Government and Netball Victoria. Since 2005, a total of 472 projects have shared in funding of $26.5 million through the program with a combined total project value of $86.3 million.

The development of community football facilities is a key objective of AFL Victoria and our community as we seek to provide sufficient numbers of well located, accessible and welcoming football facilities that support the growth of our game and our football leagues, clubs and schools.

In addition to the CFNP support, we continue to invest in both state-wide and regional planning to ensure our stakeholders can be confident that their investment will have the greatest positive impact in the right venues in the most-timely manner.

Congratulations to the below projects that have collaborated with their local government to see the successful funding applications for their respective projects:

NAGAMBIE FOOTBALL CLUB 

We wish to thank the Victorian Government and congratulate the Strathbogie Shire Council, Martin Gleeson and his team from AFL Goulburn Murray, the Kyabram District Football Netball League and Nagambie Football Club for embarking on such an important project to redevelop the female and male player change and umpire rooms, toilets and shower facilities. The project will also provide a new all abilities toilet and shower facility, incorporating a baby change area. READ MORE…

 

GROVEDALE FOOTBALL NETBALL CLUB 

We wish to thank the Victorian Government and congratulate Greater Geelong City Council, Lee Hartman and this team at AFL Barwon, the Grovedale Football Netball Club and Geelong Football Netball League for embarking on such an important project to construct a new fully compliant, gender neutral set of away change rooms at the Burdoo Recreation Reserve. AFL GOLDFIELDS 

We wish to thank the Victorian Government and congratulate Moorabool Shire Council, Rod Ward and his team at AFL Goldfields, Central Highlands Football League, Central Highlands Netball League and the Ballan Football Netball Club for embarking on such an important project to resurface and light the two netball courts to 100 lux at the reserve. ALFREDTON VILLAGE GREEN SPORTSGROUND  

We wish to thank the Victorian Government and congratulate Ballarat City Council, Rod Ward and his team at AFL Goldfields, Ballarat Football and Netball League and the Ballarat Football Netball Club for embarking on such an important project to install a drainage and irrigation system to the Alfredton Village Green sportsground. DIGGERS REST RECREATION RESERVE 

We wish to thank the Victorian Government and congratulate Melton City Council, Rod Ward and his team from AFL Goldfields, Riddell District Football Netball League and the Diggers Rest Football and Netball Club for embarking on such an important project to upgrade the oval lighting at Diggers Rest Recreation Reserve.
